RG3 & Redskins Cruise Over Bills
RG3 Has A Nice Debut For Redskins
Labor Day was just that for the Bills in their preseason debut as Robert Griffin and the Redskins came to town. Griffin's stats were quite nice for his limited action going 3-3 for 32 yards and 2 TDs, RB Roy Helu Jr. looked like a monster... running for 112 yards on 20 carries for the Skins. On defense CB Deangelo Hall recorded 4 tackles and an interception while LB Ryan Kerrigan recorded 2 sacks. The Bills Quarterbacks had a tough time getting the ball to the right team however WR Stevie Johnson was an exception catching 12 balls for 156 yards and a touchdown, rookie WR T.J Graham looked impressive with 4 receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown of his own. QB Vince Young didn't do too much to impress Bills fans going 4-7 with 2 interceptions. Ryan Fitzpatrick did do a little better throwing 3 touchdowns, but he got picked of twice and it's easy to imagine how he would have done playing against the starters. DE Mario Williams showed that he's still got a high motor earning 6 tackles in the 1st quarter.
What we learned (Redskins): the skins are poised to run the ball alot this year, RG3 looks like a star in the making.
What we learned (Bills): The Bills are far from deciding their starting QB, both of these guys would be backups anywhere else... the Bills made a bad move signing Ryan Fitzpatrick to a multi year extension now they're paying for it.
