Cards Acquire Pro Bowl QB Manning for Future Star CB Peterson

The Peyton Manning era didn't last long in Denver, in possibly the biggest deal of the off-season Arizona got possibly the best QB in the league (when healthy) however, they did sacrifice their future to win now as fan favorite CB Patrick Peterson was shipped away. I spoke with Denver GM fallen and he stated that the reason for shipping Manning away was impressive play by rookie QB Brock Osweiler & his want to build the team with youth. This trade is a make or break for both teams, if Peyton Manning is his old self the Cardinals will contend for the Superbowl but if not, they gave up a future shutdown corner for an aging QB. In Denver if Osweiler becomes the 2nd coming of Elway fans will jump for joy but if not, they will be set back a couple of seasons in search of a new QB. i spoke with Peyton at the Cardinals training facility and he had this to say about Arizona, " This team has alot of talent across the board... with WRs like Fitzgerald and Floyd I think i'll flourish here, not to mention the great defense that Coach Kone has set up for this team. i gotta say i'm excited." Time will tell if this trade was a good one.
