Panthers Get Revis From Jets

This deal was expected as Coach Rogert and Revis did not get along well in OTAs, as soon as Revis hit the trade block multiple teams had interest in the shutdown corner. Roger had a lot on his mind and decided to sleep on it, the next day it was announced that the Jets had come to a verbal agreement with the Panthers on a trade which reads as follows: Linebacker Thomas Davis & DE Eric Norwood for CB Revis. This is a very surprising move considering the players on the table from other teams... by no means was it a bad move for the Jets however it is still very questionable. i spoke to Thomas Davis over the phone and he had this to say, " I thought i was gonna be able to help this team in the long run, i spoke to Coach Barber the night before the deal went down and he said that my job was secure now I'm a Jet and a little frustrated." It appears as though Coach Barber isn't in this sport to make friends he wants to win. Darelle Revis was available for comment after his 1st panthers practice and he told me what he thought of his new team, " This Panthers team means business and wants to win a Superbowl this year.. that's what I'm all about, and to all you Jets fans out there thank you for all the support.. i will miss everyone of you so much." Panthers fans hope Revis can improve this secondary while Jets fans hope Davis & Norwood can produce.
